IDEA is a not-for-profit 501 ( c )(3) corporation dedicated to the creation of educational opportunities for individuals with autism and other intellectual disabilities that result in the ability to lead a productive independent life. IDEA was founded, choosing to focus on the needs of the autistic and intellectually disabled, recognizing that if we do not provide adequate training and supports for these young people and adults, they will be doomed to a life of parental and government support. It is IDEA’s goal to provide every individual with the life skills necessary to live a productive life without chronic government subsidy. We are prepared to expand the program to a residential one offering these adults the opportunity to grow socially and functionally towards a goal of living independently. We have designed the plans to expand our facility and are ready to take this step as funding becomes available.
